Analog Short Film

For this self-initiated project, I explored the intersection of analog and digital technology by producing an experimental short film using an authentic 1997 Sony Hi8 camcorder. The project provided a hands-on opportunity to experiment with retro visual textures, manual recording constraints, and tactical storytelling techniques within a modern digital editing workflow.

The core narrative examines the friction between rapid digitalization and a more intentional, mindful way of living. Capturing contemporary scenes through a distinctly nostalgic lens allowed me to contrast the hyper speed of modern media with the deliberate pace of analog filmmaking. This thematic exploration ultimately laid the foundation for my final graduation project.
